ED Raids in Ranchi: Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting raids on people close to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the illegal mining scam in Jharkhand. On Wednesday (January 3), ED raided the homes of CM Soren’s media advisor Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu, Deputy Commissioner of Sahibganj and many close ones. According to sources, the Central Investigation Agency ED has raided more than a dozen locations.
The people on whom raids have been conducted have strong connections in political circles. Search operation is also being conducted at the place of a person named Roshan living in Piska Mod, Ratu Road, Ranchi. ED has taken action in the money laundering case related to illegal mining scam. Security forces are also seen along with ED officers. ED is also raiding the house of a person named Vinod Singh.
Raids at stone businessman and DC also
Vinod Singh is the owner of Grid Architect Consultancy. A complaint was filed against him to the ED that he had accumulated a large amount of illegal property in the name of himself and his family. These properties have been purchased at different places in Jharkhand. Vinod Singh is said to have a very close relationship with both Hemant Soren and Abhishek Prasad. A few days ago, ED had asked for a copy of the FIR/charge sheet registered against these two from the state police.
ED has also raided the official residence of famous stone businessman Kanhaiya Khudaniyan and DC Ramniwas Yadav of Sahibganj district of Jharkhand. This action is still going on. At present, the ED team is examining every document inside the residence of DC Ramniwas Yadav and Kanhaiya Khudaniyan.
ED team has reached Vinod Singh’s house with printer machine. Some important documents will be printed from computers and laptops. According to sources, ED has found important clues of money laundering.
People who loot will go to jail: BJP leader Deepak Prakash
Former Jharkhand BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash has given a statement on the ongoing ED raids in the state. He has said that the people who looted Jharkhand with both hands are being raided. People who looted Jharkhand will go to jail.
